Gringos Cantina - Mexican

Gringos Cantina has been serving Tex-Mex to the people on Koh Samui for nearly 20 years. Located in Chaweng, it's up a side alley across from Ark Bar - Soi 1 behind The Islander Restaurant on Chaweng beach road. The restaurant boasts a diverse menu of traditional Tex - Mex classics alongside newer fusion dishes, some international dishes, western style BBQ and a good selection of vegetarian dishes. Kids under 10 have their own menu.

Thailand is famous for it’s fresh and delicious cuisine, but anyone who’s travelled Thailand will know that at some point in your trip you might be hankering for something other than Thai food, Gringos fills that spot but at the same time if some aren’t ready for a change, delicious Thai Food is available from our partner next door, a good selection of the favorites plus authentic dishes from the Isan (northeastern) Thailand.

For the meat lovers there is an abundance of BBQ’s goodies to choose from including succulent BBQ Ribs or Rib-Eye Steak. Add a tasty corn on the cob as a side dish and some potato wedges for the full deal.

Vegetarians are catered for too with a healthy set of options including Chilli con verduras, Tostada, and combo platters.

If you are feeling adventurous then you can spice things ups with some Thai-Mex dishes like Massaman burrito or maybe try an Indian-Mexican Curried Lamb Burrito or Chicken Tika Masala enchilada.

Tex-Mex isn’t complete without the Margaritas, and there is no less than 14 frozen margarita flavours to choose from. They have got to have one of the best happy hour deals on the island too, running 7 days a week between 2-7pm ask the restaurant for details. If you fancy something a bit unusual, Gringos make their own versions of White or Red Sangria, Chi Chi (a bit like a milkshake with a kick to it!) and classic Pina Coladas.
