Night life
Pages could be, and have been, written about Bangkok’s night life. Its red light district bars, cabarets and massage parlors are well known and do indeed appeal to a certain type of tourist. However, a lesser known fact is that the city is upgrading its image and offering night life of a less seamy style. You can take your pick of live music venues, whether you are a fan of jazz, rock or electronic music. Relax in cozy pubs or even Munich style beer gardens, a high season attraction. Travelers enjoy the novelty of the bar trucks, which dispense alcohol as casually as Western food trucks dole out hot dogs. Speaking of food – there are stalls and vendors everywhere selling snacks and meals. Street food in Bangkok is generally safe in terms of hygiene, but watch out for those hot peppers!
